10/27/25 Space Marine Mega Update

Hello again everyone! Today I am very excited to announce that I have got caught back up with all of the marine releases. We nearly have every codex tested and released which will drastically decrease the delays of new models getting included in A4R.

The following additions or changes were made! The list is quite extensive, but I will do my best to break it down here.

Space Marine Codex:
Primaris Captain got a Stormshield option.
Primaris Captain got an assault bolter option.
Primaris Captain got a carbine sniper rifle option.
Primaris Captain got a Terminator Armour and Stormbolter option.
Primaris Captain got a Jump Pack option.
Primaris Chaplain got a Jump Pack option.
Primaris Apothecary got new wargear options.
Primaris Sternguard Veterans were added.
Primaris Vanguard Veterans were added.
Primaris Assault Terminators were added.
Primaris Terminators of all types got an extra Wound to better reflect their immense bulk.
Desolation Squad was reformed with equipment changes after a wide variety of testing.
Drop Pods were bumped on capacity from 10 to 12 to allow leadership to join full units.
Primaris Drop Pods were added. They bring no armament but have increased carry capacity.

Black Templars:
Sword Brethren options added. Some new wargear combinations are possible now.

Blood Angels:
Multiple characters got the Rubicon Primaris option.
The Sanguinor has been heavily upgraded and moved to a Lord of War slot. We have been refining key Infantry characters and have them at a point where they can fill the singular Lord of War slot available for armies. This model’s lore is now better reflected.
Sanguinary Guard got new wargear options.

Dark Angels:
Several characters now have the Rubicon Primaris upgrade that did not before.
Interrogator-Chaplain got added.
Inner Circle Companions got added.
Ravenwing Black Knights got new wargear options.

Death Watch:
Primaris Watch Master got new gear options.

Grey Knights:
Everything I have read says they do not have Primaris still in lore. As such, they are still running firstborn rules (and of course can use new models). This clarifier is just for those wondering.

Imperial Fist:
Several characters got the Rubicon Primaris upgrade option.

Iron Hands:
Create supplement, an oversight on my part.
Caanok Var added.
Iron Father Feirros added.

Raven Guard:
Aethon Shaan added.

Salamanders:
Several Characters got the Rubicon Primaris upgrade option.

Space Wolves:
Multiple characters got the Rubicon Primaris upgrade option.
Blood Claws were added.
Grey Hunters were added.
Iron Priest added, making for a special variant of Tech Priest.
Logan Grimnar was added. In addition, I had missed his previous versions as well. His 3e and 7e sculpts are all possible to use now.
Murderfang was added.
Ulrik the Slayer was added.
Wolf Guard Battle Leader was added, making for a special variant of Lieutenant.
Wolf Guard Head Takers were added.
Wolf Guard Terminators were added.
Wolf Priest was added, making for a special variant of Chaplain and Apothecary.

Ultramarines:
Various Characters got the Rubicon Primaris Upgrade option.

White Scars:
Corrected naming convention of existing character and gave him the Rubicon Primaris upgrade option.
Suboden Khan added.

Lastly, some light formatting changes were made. This is all part of the final effort to get all Codexes up to speed for the last three to get released in the near future! We are passed 4700 man hours invested now and are nearly fully operational! Its going to be weird to be caught up, but I’m looking forward to it.

If I am still missing something please let me know and I will be happy to get it added! Old Datasheets are welcome as I want A4R to a be a complete ruleset that allows every model ever released to be used.

Eldar are currently being extensively reworked still but we are getting close!
