A lot of good things happened this week! For starters, Tyranid High Altitude Flers did not have their restricted weapon facing discount applied. High Altitude monsters are rare, and this corrected oversight shaved some points off of them and their weapon options!
Necrons had two characters missing on accident. This brought in their Maynarkh Dynasty. It boasts Objective Secured at the cost if Ld-2 from their Flayer Virus Infection. This brought in the HQ Slot Kutlakh the World Killer, a formidable duelist that specializes in Challenges but inflicts madness on the units he joins! His Advisor Toholk the Blinded brings an ability to redeploy units after Deployment but before Infiltrators are placed. A very serious breakable combination was discovered using Destroyers in massive units. Sadly, we have had to dial back their unit sizes slightly (as well as Nurgle units this could be applied too). If an alternative is found, we will implement the larger unit sizes again.
Steady has been introduced to the Core Rule Book as it has tested well. The near future involves it being introduced to all Codexes as applicable to avoid power creep from expanding game rules.
Dark Eldar were given another round of play tests. Their rather underwhelming Phantasm Grenade Launchers have been revamped to give an Aura “Treat as if being equipped with Assault Grenades”, or in the case of Vehicle mounted ones, it grants the Aura effect to the disembarking unit. This is only their second play test but they are already giving some excellent feels!
Orks had the new Squig units added to their Rough Draft. We were super busy when they came out and forgot to circle back to them. We also have a new Ork player, they must have sensed the Waaagh! Through the ether…net cable.
As always, enjoy punching xenos scum in the face!
