We had another productive week! We had another great play test of the Squat Codex. Some new units were played with and tested. Tweaks were made to the Cathonian Berserkers and we look forward to trying them again! The Heavy Plasma Axe dropped its Extra Attack 1, and the base Stat line saw the Sv4+ change to Sv5+ to better represent the model visually.
One of our new players has started playing a lot of Khorne and World Eater units. With only mild testing until now, this is proving to be very effective and we are ironing out the problems with the Eightbound and the rather bizarre but short lore on them that the publisher has provided. Eightbound are in a pretty good spot, but the Exalted are proving to be unbalanced. Further work and ideas are in place to test again and see if we can get them where they need to be!
Space Marines Rough Draft continue to get worked on as updates to the Codexes happen. Nearly all of the Space Wolves from 7th edition are done (fifteen of them I think). There are still many to go, and this will be an ongoing process.
Some minor cleanup of the Core Rule Book condensed and clarified things such as units being Force Disembarked take Dangerous Terrain Tests. This was mentioned at a relevant point in the flow of things, but clearly stated in the Glossary at the end.
The Leviathan Regimental HQ project continues. I am now 149 hours and 30 minutes into printing it. I still need to print 4 of the body sections, 6 headlight plates, side panels, track skirts for both sides, and all of the weapon turrets.
The Hall of Heroes has been mapped out! This idea has been floating around my head for several weeks now and has me super excited. The idea is those who contribute through Patreon can have a PDF (Planetary Defense Force) model named by them. The model’s deeds and failures will be recorded on this website on the Hall of Heroes page for all to see their kills, deaths, objectives, and injuries they have inflicted. One of these days we will have a massive Apocalypse game and see them handle under pressure! This should be a pretty fun community growth to watch your characters fight and die for the Emperor! This is still being setup and will be in place shortly. Anyone who is subscribed will get their appropriate tier choice of model retroactively.
