Its that wonderful awesomesauce post I love to see go up on the site. The Dark Eldar Codex is deemed tournament worthy and is live! You can find it on our Rulebooks Page or by clicking here to navigate directly to it.
The final test was an attempt to do an all Harlequin list. It did do well against the Custodes despite an odd dice day for everyone involved, but as expected proved they are difficult to run without support from Dark Eldar or Eldar units. Once GW releases more models for their line I could easily see them break off into their own supplement that could be a standalone, but for now it fits best residing in both Codexes.
I hope to have the Narrative Battle Report typed up and posted today, as the game had a great Harlequin feel to it. The Custodes had some rough luck and some great luck, but overall it was a fun match that was down to the wire.
In other news, we hit 3300 man hours this past week! This project has been massive and time consuming, but has fantastic results and I am super excited to see it through!
In even more great news, BOTH Slaanesh and Traitor Guard supplements are ready for final testing! Slaanesh brings a series of fast moving units that strike hard or quickly thanks to their improved Initiative stat and Counterattack. While definitely a neglected faction by GW, with Fulgrim returning soon they should receive a much needed boost! I did find some old units like Doomrider and the Sonic Dreadnought. If anyone has any information on the Sonic Dreadnought weapon options please let me know. I was only able to find limited knowledge on it and the source suggested their were additional sonic weapons available to it.
The Traitor Guard bring the power and number of the Imperial Guard, but with a heavy twist. While they have the excellent heavy tanks and artillery, their minds have been eroded by Chaos. No longer setup with extensive supply lines, their ammunition and fuel begins to run short. Military discipline has started to decrease and preventative maintenance due to insanity setting in and lack of supplies begins to take its tolls. They do however, get access to the ruinous powers of Chaos Marks. While they do run the risk of having temporary breakdowns in the field and are mostly unable to Overwatch or Snapshot due to their ammunition shortages, their numbers can drown out the best of Codexes or they can ramp up their abilities with the Marks of Chaos to fulfill any strategy! Beware their Insanity, as they are on the edge of madness and if left unsupported risk disrupting any strategy you have in place! So far I have the Vraksian Renegades, Blood Pact, and the Moebian 6th (for you Darktide fans out there!). If you are aware of any official renegade rules from older editions please reach out!
In even more great news, I finally got access to the Siege of Vraks campaign books. Running at 150-200 USD each on eBay, I definitely cannot afford them. However, I got a hold of a vintage guard player who has them and got access to the Space Marine sections. New Chapters and Independent Characters will be released this week to properly welcome in more historical goodness!

One day, while not soon but also not too terribly far away, we will have all Codexes tournament ready and can begin rolling out the next phase! We are about 2 and half years into it and as mentioned prior 3300 man hours. This puts us at 7 Codexes published with 22 Supplements published as well. This number will increase by a few with the Space Marines released soon.
