1/14&21/24 Many Updates

It has been another week! In fact two of them! I have had so many regular posts going out with all of the major mile markers and battle reports that it probably has not been necessary, but I wanted to get back on track, recap the mile markers, and fill in the little details that have been lost over the last two weeks.

First off, we have the Genestealer Cult Codex fully in Final Draft Format! All this leaves at this point is Sisters of Battle, Adeptus Mechanicus, Inquisition, and the supplement for Chaos Knights. These last few have been delayed due to lack of collection or time to test them, and unfortunately someone had to be last. I am however quite excited to be so close to having rule books transcribed!!! After two and half years of doing this, I am nearly done with the extensive side of the paperwork!

The next steps will just be to finish play testing these final drafted rulebooks and getting them posted once they are deemed to be stress tested for tournament play. Phase I was getting all of them rough drafted with prototype rules and concepts. Phase II is getting all of them tournament ready. Within a few months we can begin Phase III! Phase III will consist of getting a phone app working and just refining the units to make them as lore accurate as possible. All codexes are still getting tweaks here and there as we find typos, better ways to word things, or just minor internal balances that need addressed.

Beginning Phase III will also be the beginning of Alternate 40k Rules tournaments! The current plan will be to start with a slow grow tournament and build up to a large battle by the end of the period. The exact details will come out as we finalize the details for this, but likely we will try to have a Tabletop Simulator or similar thing to make online play available. As codexes get refined through Phase III slow grow, we will launch a Crusade tournament. It will be a bit different then current rules, as modifying units with blanket rules are going to massively skew the points of units that I have oh so carefully and painfully pointed with a hyper tested formula. Those fuzzy details will work out at the appropriate time, but I do love some of the campaign elements from Star Wars Armada and will be using those for inspiration!

Other news from the past two weeks includes reports of multiple play tests with Slaanesh, Nurgle, Khorne, Tzeentch, Traitor Guard, Chaos Undivided, and Eldar! It is a slow and methodical process, but we are working on stress tests and each game gets us closer to publication!

The Capitol Imperialis has pretty well been put on hold as extreme cold keeps the garage so cold that even with the enclosure it warps the material. It stands at the Left Track fully assembled and ready to be fused with a wood burner kit, and the first two parts of the Right Track printed. There are twelve left to go for the right track, and I am eager to see this thing built up!

There have been lots of tiny cleanups as we go. Imperial Guard are getting a new range of FW tanks in GW Plastic with new wargear options! I do not know about you, but I will be filling my wishlists with an unhealthy amount of these! As more details emerge and 40k era wargear can be verified, changes will be made in the rule book. An example is it appears there is now a Malcador Vanquisher. Like the Volkite variant of the Leman Russ, there is a chance it is not fielded in the 41st millennium.

Necron tests and discussions about C’Tan Shards being Lord of War are just about done! We are going to try and get some final tests in soon so we can bring the changes to you.

I am getting close to done with my second compilation of the Imperial Guard Codex Overview, focusing on battle tanks and other uses of battle tank chassis. I have included a lot of pictures from my collection since most of my tanks are painted! For those wanting to see my Baneblade collection out at once, you will want to check out this YouTube video! You can find the link at the bottom of this page with the YouTube symbol. I recommend hitting subscribe so you do not miss any releases! Eventually I will go through all of the Codexes in like manner. The next and possibly last video for the Imperial Guard will encompass the support like the Artillery, Dedicated Transports, and Aircraft. If this ends up being excessively long I will break it into two videos.

One last project that has not been mentioned yet is my Praetorian Guard Showcase. I am waiting on a package of bases to finish them that the postal service has lost. Once that arrives I can finish their bases and get a photo shoot done. Unlike my other Regiments, I did their theme as a Garden World. I have had a lot of fun with this one and will put more details into the Showcase once I have pictures!
