3/10/24 Missing Ork Characters and Clan Supplements

Its that time of the week again! Thanks to a question of a player who acquired a very old model, I realized I was missing a 2nd edition character! What blew my mind is this character is STILL an active Ork of substantial influence but does not have rules! Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub was even a major player in the Third War for Armageddon as well as other half of the mad genius to develop Telyporters that could send titans down to a planet surface (ergo some stability issues).

Nazdreg is a formidable HQ choice for the Bad Moons. Depending on the battle size, he can give 1 unit for every 1000 points in your roster Deepstrike! The downside is they scatter DOUBLE the scatter amount and CANNOT get a Direct Hit. This keeps him lore accurate with being able to Deepstrike Stompas.

Next, I missed a narrow window of a limited edition character released in 2023. Ufthak Blackhawk has no rules that I can find, but yet has a multibook series that brought his miniature to the tabletop. He is a formidable melee fighter that is not to be underestimated. In an attempt to capture his signature defiance from his lore, he has an ability to automatically succeed a failed Charge! This is incredibly powerful, but like in the lore he has to remove a model with the Boss or Warboss in its name or Keyword from the game. A sniper could thwart this ability, but if you have unit Champions to spare you can put immense pressure on an enemy player!

You will notice that the Ork Codex is a bit shorter now. Going forward, I am breaking Army Organization specific datasheets into their own Supplement. This keeps some scrolling out of the way for those who do not play those Clans, and makes looking up specific characters to those Clans much easier. Clans are linked directly below the Ork Codex PDF on the Rulebooks page.

Orks would love to loot my ongoing project. I have started printing the main body for the Capitol Imperialis. I have over 900 hours invested in just printing the left and right track alone! The main body is made up of 58 pieces (not counting pins), and there is a fair amount of weapons and accessories to print still as well. At about 39″ long, this immense tank will be an excellent centerpiece to my Imperial Guard collection. Perhaps when it is complete I can convince local Ork players to try and loot it in an apocalyptic scale battle? I estimate it to be done by the end of the year, and plan on wiring LEDs and speakers into it.

As always, if you know of datasheets that have been missed regardless of how old they are, please let me know! Any model that has ever been should be a viable option for players who are dedicated to the lore and the memories shared with their models they spent hours painstakingly painting.
