This week has been pretty busy, but I found a couple of minor things in the way of old Imperial Guard models that were missed.
First, Heavy Stubbers (the single, not 2 Linked version) has been moved to Special Weapons capacity. In the past they were for Heavy Weapon Teams because some old models had ammo bearers, but I am finding a majority of old sculpts did not have that counterpart. This also addresses a discrepancy for heavy machine guns that I did not particularly like.
Next, I found reference to Commissar Cadets. Them and several old Commissar models carried Lasguns for their ranged weapon. In order to bring them into the fold, the Lasgun has been made available to Commissars and Lord Commissars. At this time I do not feel they warrant their own datasheet, and could easily be represented by using the Veteran one if need be.
I have been running my FDM printer for several years now, but yesterday I got a second hand Sonic Mighty 4k! The ability to get into infantry model printing has excited me for a long time. I have a big learning curve ahead of me, but I am excited for the possibilities! It also came with 6 or 7 kg of resin, so I can get crazy once I figure out what I am doing with the printer.
Next goal is to replace the Core Rule Book. It has been in place and patched repeatedly over the past 2.5 years. It needs a new face lift and reorganization of the information presented. As you can imagine, it has got a bit convoluted during our revisions internally as we have processed codexes and core rules. While I have tried to keep it readable, it still could really use a facelift. I am not for sure on the timing for its re-release because I want to be very thorough with it, but I hope to have the new version available in a week or two depending on what life throws my way.
As always, happy wargaming! We value feedback about clarity, balance, and of course missing datasheets and wargear. Or if you ever just want to show off your cool paint jobs, collections, or other worthy endeavors reach out as well!
