6/2/24 Rebuilt Core Rulebook and 4000 Hours

A revamped Core Rulebook just went live! It has been patched continuously for almost 3 years now and has been in desperate need for cleanup and modernization in format. We also hit 4000 man hours invested in this project! We are now nearly ready to produce the last Codexes after they undergo final trials. They should be all published by the end of the year and we can look into starting a online/local narrative tournament as the next step! It can be found here on our Rulebook Page.

Some key points included in this new Core Rulebook include colour coded Designer Notes, Advanced Rules for optional play, common Q&A brought up by the community, and Recap sections. All of these are designed to maximize the efficiency of speed reading when looking for specific references. As always, if there is a format or order that you think would improve the flow of the rulebook, please reach out so we can make it as user friendly as possible!

It is mind blowing to think that even after 4000 man hours we are not fully operational. This is because I and a small dedicated team of players are trying to rebuild something that is absolutely massive! We are trying to restore lost Datasheets and models from decades ago and include as much lore feels as possible for special characters. After all of that, we have to run them through play tests to ensure that the formula works, and then run them through the ringer against the founding Codexes to avoid power creep.

A massive amount of work has gone into this so far, and quality will always be our goal. If you see any typos or confusing wording please let us know so I can fix it. My hope is that by the end of the year we will be celebrating the final releases and kick off a narrative tournament participated in all over the world. A true unity of players that wish to enjoy the hobby but want stability and flavor that many have found lacking. Many of us have multiple decades of this hobby under our power armour. Many are tired of our escapism being crushed by negligence.

If any of you wish to assist in getting these last Codexes released, please contact me! Remaining Codexes not openly available to the public are Adeptus Mechanicus, Sisters of Battle, Imperial Knights, Squats (Leagues of Votann), and the Inquisition. The last stand alone capable supplement is the Chaos Knights, which will be addressed after Imperial Knights. Many of these are nearly ready, we just need more man power.

For the Emperor! Or whatever ideology your faction follows!
