1/12/25 New and Old Goals

Sorry it has been so long since I last got an update out. We bought a house! We have been trying to prep it for moving in and its taken all available time. I’m pleased to report plans for a giant gaming table that will have a proper video setup for battle reports! It will eventually include multiple camera angles, dice trays, proper lighting, better microphones, and whatever else I can think of. If you have seen my YouTube video reports on battles, you know the quick setup and take down was not great quality.

I have also been playing around with special effects to make the battle reports a bit more pleasing as well. This is a learning process, but so far I have been able to make backgrounds with explosions appearing on them. What more could one ask for?

I’m not sure what happened, but this last week has seen a major spike in traffic! I have not been super visible online for these last weeks, so this was a pleasant surprise! If you have any questions just reach out!

Last year’s resolution goals were not quite completed.

  1. I was aiming for a narrative campaign module, which has not happened yet, most of my guardsmen to be painted (went from around 1500 to around just 200 left).
  2. The phone app has proven beyond my technical skill (I was working with someone on developing this, but I lost contact with them. I hope they are ok)
  3. My capital imperialis is not done, but I have finally seem to have found some good quality filament to continue production. Just have to wait for this bloody cold weather to go away.
  4. All Codexes are not done, but they are pretty close. At this point we are just play testing for unseen breaking points of units being overpowered. I do not have any outstanding concerns for them at this time!
  5. Not listed in the former goals for A4R, but we got a house instead of just saving up for one! I call that a win for us personally, and by extension you if you enjoy our content. Testing will be much easier once we get settled in.

This year, I hope to achieve the following:

  1. Finish the last codexes.
  2. Finish printing the capital imperialis. This will be a stretch, as it is enormous.
  3. Finish painting my Imperial Guard.
  4. Get Lux and Tenebris rules off the ground! I was contracted to write the rules for a startup company. I could absolutely gush over how excited I am, but for now I will just leave it as a “High stress tactical shooter” game that will be highly modular from the ground up, allowing it to be as complex or as streamlined as players like once it is fully implemented.

What are your goals for 2025?
