Orks vs Space Marines 3000 points

1st Battle:

With the Orks getting a foot hold in the area, they continued to move forward looking for the resources they would need to sustain the main horde when they arrived.  Though many of the races have seen some massive numbers, Charr Ul Uknar’s Horde is just the beginning of the green wave.

Hearing of some more ripe resource areas to plunder, Charr sends Ghazghkull Thraka and a small horde army to check the area out.  Clumzy walking KillaKanz and fast moving pile of junk “Grot Tanks” follow and truck into a abandoned town down in a valley.  As they spread out, they come under fire from some marines.  The question is…which chapter are they…doesn’t matter…they all die the same.

At first, the fire fight was intense.  No cover was good enough and there was a tremendous amount of cowardly snipers trying to take out Thraka.  But even under the intense fire fight, the Orks moved forward.  One by one the enemy fell before the chopping blades of the Orks.  Deffkoptas swooped in blasting the marines back to their hell while grots drove around like madmen on the battlefield using their custom made mega-blastas and melting the will of the enemy…sometimes, even themselves as the weapons overheated.

With the resources secured and the enemy laid to waist, Thraka and has horde of calamity secured the battlefield and pushed the so called “Space Marines” into their graves.

2nd Battle:

While Thraka waited for more horde to show up, he sent Da Red Gobbo out with his scavenging grots to see if there was anything left of the marines worth having.  As they were working on their tan, more uncharted marines showed up.  This time, they had a tank.

Orders were issued while the grots managed to throw a few Mek Guns together from parts here and there.  Some Weird Boys showed up and the fight was on.  While wave after wave of grots were mobilized and flung at the enemy, the Weird Boys tried to harness the Waagh energy.  As they moved  units about the battlefield, they became overwhelmed with warp energy and exploded their own brains.

Thraka was on his own.  As they dropped into the battlefield, they laid waist to a couple of marine units.  But one unit was very impressive with their ranged and melee attacks.  This prayer guy…this chaplain seemed to really be able to pull his troops together and manage some form of power.

As the battle raged, Thraka and what was left had to withdraw to a better location.  Mork and Gork would know what to do about this chaplain fella.
