Tallarn Desert Raiders Showcase

The Tallarn are specialist in hit and run attacks. To represent this better, they got priority gear on my Leman Russ Vanquishers and other long ranged heavy tanks or fast and hard hitting light tanks. They also got the sentinels as priority due to their flexibility and speed tactics that they favor in the lore. This army would not be remotely fieldable if it had not been for my good friend Simon. This gets all of my vintage regiments to a fieldable status!

The Tallarn ready to roll out into the wasteland with extreme prejudice.
Captain Al’Rahem and a Lord Commissar are the most flexible independent characters that can be assigned throughout the force.
The Company Command Squad brings a Rogue Trader era Guardsman to act as a unique looking Medicae Pack toting Veteran. A Master of Ordnance and Commissar also can be assigned out as needed.
The Platoon Command Squad for the assault platoon brings another Medicae Pack to help with the reduced Tallarn Armor Saves on their infantry.
The assault platoon is well armed with power swords and plasma weapons for maximum punch.
The heavy platoon has another Medicae Pack issued to it. Their role is to hang back and secure the rear objectives while providing supporting fire.
Each squad is equipped with a heavy weapon and either a Grenade Launcher or Plasma Gun.
The heavy platoon also brings 3 Heavy Weapon Squads for additional fire power.
Multiple Veteran squads are ready to assault any heavy target. Equipped with multiple Meltaguns, Plasma Pistol, and a Power Sword each, they are able to deliver fatal blows to hardened targets!
The Scout Sentinel Squadron is comprised of 8 Scout Sentinels. Carrying mostly Lascannons, they can reach out from a far and deliver punishing fire while being hard to pin down thanks to their high mobility.
The Armoured Sentinel Squadron is capable of engaging foes in Melee if needed. Carrying a variety of Plasma Cannons and Lascannons for the most part, they are able to threaten heavy infantry that dare to mass up.
I was delighted to find these hummer die cast toys are perfectly the size of Taurox transports! With the new scale of models, they are well suited to the size.
The tism in me was tickled to find I could put sentinel pilots that were left over into the seats by taking apart the vehicle. A thin piece of cereal box cardboard is needed for the old plastic models.
I forgot to glue the camo net to these tanks before taking pictures. I got to excited!
