I was hoping to have been done by now, but rebuilding the whole codex takes time. I spent a lot of time comparing older copies from my archives, but they were so far off that I just started over. Different formats do not translate well. With all that time wasted, I finally got the motivation and started digging into it.
I got through HQ and most of the Advisors. As it fills in, I can copy and paste near relevant datasheets, and it will pick up speed. I forgot how fast I got at doing this! I haven’t had to do it in quite a while. I will get this posted and let you know as soon as I finish.
Life has been pretty busy, but so has a rekindled passion. This passion is responsible for part of my distraction regarding this Codex. I was able to get my old X-Wing collection back! Years ago, times got tough, and I sold and traded off a ton of miniatures to keep on top of bills. Thankfully that time is past, and a rather unique opportunity to get one of my collections back that didn’t get broke up came around. Thankfully I was able to trade for everything I needed!
The only reason I mention it here is because I found a group called x2po.org that does something similar to what I do here. They are a very well-organized group of fans that are keeping the game alive with updates and erratas. I have been reading through what they have done and its fantastic! If you are an X-Wing Attack Wing fan you should check it out! They organize local and online tournaments around the world.
As always, I appreciate your feedback and interest in these alternative rules. Sorry my Aspergers derailed to X-Wing so hard, but I intend to focus on the Dark Eldar solely in regard to working on Codexes until it is complete!
If you have never played X-Wing, here is a battle report of the game to show blow by blow how it is played. Eventually I will find some spot to deposit these. Maybe I will start a sister website for a “everything else” kind of thing. #2 is far more detailed then #1.
